About
An analytical introvert blending knowledge seeking and creativity
At the essence of my work is a thirst for knowledge, a curiosity for the unknown and a desire to share with others.
I have Belorussian and Tunisian roots. I grew up partly in Tunisia then in Norway. As adult, I have lived in Norway, the UK and now Germany.
The multicultural background is probably why I cannot stay for long in one corner of the ideas realm.
It makes me appreciate that there are so many more perspectives than the ones we come across. I have also learned early on that the available words in a language or culture affect how people communicate meaning and think.
An investment and management consulting past
After studying business and finance, I have spent 12 years in the investment industry and management consulting.
This was a time when I learned about numbers, business and all the psychological effects at play in economic interactions.
I talk more about my experience on this page.
Learning to code
After a while, I was stagnating in the world of Finance. I was always curious about programming but never had the time to learn it properly. Covid allowed me more free time than expected, and I took the chance.
I taught myself to code in Python and do basic machine-learning work. I later learned JavaScript and React because I wanted to build applications people could use on the web.
I use my coding skills to tinker mainly with small-scale apps and invest in SaaS products and micro apps (< $100k in value)
Creating freely and broadly
I lead an Indie Life doing what is meaningful to me and has the potential to be meaningful to others.
I explore uncommon ideas, sometimes contrarian or sometimes forgotten. They are sparks that can lead to interesting paths. I convert those ideas into a material/sharable world with words, code, or creative tools. I sustain an indie lifestyle through business and investment activities.
